County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2
Enter a Plea to a Charge or Traffic Violation
If you have been issued a citation in Precinct 2, you must enter a written plea to the charge or charges against you, no later than the “on or before" date listed on your citation. To enter your plea, complete the Plea Form below and mail, email or deliver it to the court by your appearance date.

Pay a Traffic Citation
Payments by cashier's check or money order may be made in-person, by mail, or placed in the drop box on the back side of the building. Cash payments are accepted in-person during normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
To make a payment online for a Precinct 2 case, visit the ACI Payments website
- You will need the citation number or your Texas Driver's License (DL) or Identification (ID) number to complete the payment process.
- If you do not have a citation number or Texas DL or ID Number, call the court during normal business hours for help, at 830-307-3737, Ext 2.
For payments to other precincts, please visit the Justice Courts Payment Center. Payments to the wrong court will delay processing.
Note: You may be able to view the total fine and costs associated with your charge(s) via the Online Records Search by selecting Criminal Case Records and choosing the appropriate 'Search by' criteria for your search.
File or Respond to a Small Claims Case
When filing a small claims case, you must file it in the correct precinct. The court does not determine which precinct is correct for your situation. Please refer to our Small Claims Information page and the Gillespie County Justice of the Peace Precinct Map (PDF) to determine where you need to file.
If you have been sued, you must file an answer to the suit within fourteen (14) days of being served with papers. Failure to do so could result in a default judgment against you.

When filing an eviction, you must file in the precinct where the property is located. The court does not determine in which precinct you should file. Please refer to the Eviction Information page and the Gillespie County Justice of the Peace Precinct Map (PDF) to determine where you need to file.
